• Granite countertops will not blister, scratch or chip under normal use. It is heat resistant, so a hot pot can be placed on it without using any pad. Granite countertops are a beautiful and durable solution for the kitchen. Normally, the light color granite is porous and will absorb cooking oil and grease. However, the high quality absolute black granite are very dense and uniform in appearance and in general are the least porous with the least water absorption values. They do not even have to be sealed as they are usually moisture resistant.
